Expense Journal does not collect, store, or transmit your personal financial data to any external servers owned by the developer.
Financial Data: All information you enter (expenses, income, account names, and categories) is stored locally on your device.
Permissions:
Biometrics: Used only to facilitate "App Lock", We do not have access to your actual fingerprint or face data.
Internet: Used only for advertisements and Google Drive backups (if initiated by you).

2. Third-Party Services

The app uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:
Google AdMob: We use AdMob to display ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers, location data (if enabled on your device), and usage statistics to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. Link to AdMob Privacy Policy
Google Drive API: If you choose to use the Backup/Restore feature, the app requests access to your Google Drive.
Data is stored in your personal Google Drive account.
The developer has no access to your Google Drive files or the content of your backups.
Firebase/Google Play Services: Used for basic crash reporting and app performance monitoring to improve user experience.

3. Data Storage and Backups

Local Storage: Your data is stored in the app's internal storage, which is not accessible by other apps.
Manual Backups: When you export data, the file is saved in a location of your local device. You are responsible for the security of that file.
Android Auto Backup: The app participates in Android's system-level backup. This data is encrypted and stored in a hidden part of your Google Drive managed by the Android OS.

4. User Rights (Data Deletion)

You have complete control over your data:
In-App Deletion: You can delete individual records or use the "Clear All Data" feature in the Settings to wipe the local database.
App Uninstallation: Uninstalling the app will delete all locally stored data.
Cloud Data: You can delete your backup files directly from your Google Drive "Manage Apps" settings.

5. Children's Privacy

This app is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent and discover your child has provided data, please contact us.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Changes are effective immediately after they are posted in the app or on the Play Store.
